Pistachio Tree
Pistachios are grown in the many cities of
southern Kerman province, Such as Kerman, Sirjan and Rafsanjan.

Healthy Processing Of Pistachio
At present Iranian Pistachio processed under
completely healthy environments and preserved Conditions. There
are automatic terminals in the region for Skinning, drying, sorting
and packing in a proper way that Pistachio harvested at plantation
or shall we say in common Picked today would be processed the same
day.
This action greatly reduced the risk of aflatoxin hazardous contamination.
The EU representatives have approved this fact during their visit
at Rafsanjan &Sirjan cities in Kerman province in 1998.
Iranian Pistachio are grown without application of artificial hormones

Pistachio In Food Industry
The
major part of Pistachio crop is consumed as nuts. Mostly favored
in roasted and salted.
In addition Pistachio kernels is widely used In Ice Cream, Cookies.
Pistachio spread on Bread confectionaries And Many Other deliquescent
reciepes.
Market News
Old crop (2004-2005) was around 200,000 TON
in Iran. Total world crop is estimated at 300,000M/T. The sharp
increase in the crop has resulted approx. 40% fall in prices.
Current Crop (2005-2006) is harvested around 160,000 TON. Unfortunately
the sharp decrease in the crop yield has resulted approx. 40% increase
in the prices.
